Miami Surf Juniors

On Saturday, February 7th, 2009, the Miami Surf Field Hockey Club officially opened its doors to the Surf Juniors!  Having secured jersey sponsorship with UHealth Sports Medicine we're looking forward to a bright future for this program.

The club views the introduction of a junior program to be vital for its long term growth and looks forward to providing opportunities for these players. 

The Surf Juniors is open to players between the ages of 6 and 16.The Surf Juniors are scheduled to compete in the inaugural South Florida 7's (SF7's) League this coming spring.

Player development is overseen by Club Director of Coaching, Derek Aspinall.

Surf Juniors fees for 2009 are as follows:
*Player membership (who already has equipment and USA Field Hockey membership) - $25
*Player membership who has equipment (but requires USA Field Hockey membership) - $50
*Player membership and requires *equipment and USA Field Hockey Membership - $95 (*equipment includes - mouth guard, t-shirt, stick, shin guards, ball - limited qtys. available)
**All members are charged $4 per practice session!  ($6 to non-members)

Practice takes place at FIU on Saturday mornings from 9-10:30am (see Schedule for further details).
